By the grace of Count Dooku, Kairon became the new commanding General of the Lin Nega Militia. Aided by CIS Agent Boijev, Kairon staged a coup, imprisoning the Prime Minister and General Soloma, and turning the government completely against the Republic. In 21 BBY, Separatist Spies revealed that the leadership of Lin Nega, General Soloma among them, planned to return to the Republic side. Despite this, Kairon would eventually rise to Second in Command of the Lin Nega military, due his political connections. Many people died, and the survivors formed an armed resistance movement to oppose the Separatists, even trying to assassinate Kairon. Strike Team Kairon and the battle droids supporting them turned their blasters on the unarmed crowd and opened fire. When Pro-Republic university students and politicians of the opposition started a protest against Separatist rule, Kairon persuaded Prime Minister Henrikson to give him the power to break the peaceful demonstrations with force, a decision that Henrikson would later regret. He even rallied some loyal men from his own battalion in the local militia, and reformed them into an elite honor guard known as Strike Team Kairon, a company of soldiers wearing armor inspired by the Nimbus Commandos of the Jabiimi Nationalists. There were rumors that in a rather serious brawl with his younger brother Ranac, Flux gouged out his eye, though Ranac never confirmed this.ĭue to his ambitious nature, he was the complete opposite of his superior, General Soloma, with whom he often had disagreements.
